Established for over 18 years, Waddesdon wine was founded to jointly represent the three wine producing branches of the Rothschild family within the UK.
The wineries represented include Lafite & Mouton Rothschild in Bordeaux, Rupert & Rothschild in South Africa, Los Vascos in Chile, Bodegas Caro in Argentina, Rimapere in New Zealand and the world famous Champagne Barons de Rothschild. All the partner wineries share a vision of producing the very best wines, while remaining true to their heritage and traditions. Waddesdon couples the rich culture of their wineries with a diverse and long-established knowledge of the UK wine drinker. You will find within their portfolio, wines to suit every occasion, taste profile and price point; whether you are looking for an approachable and crowd-pleasing dinner party wine or a 100 Parker point collectable. New and Old World come together to provide a wealth of diversity, all with an unparalleled assurance of quality.
Waddesdon Wine is based in Waddesdon Manor, a historic country house in the village of Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire. Owned by the National Trust and managed by the Rothschild Foundation, Waddesdon Manor and the 120 acre gardens are one of the National Trust’s most visited properties, averaging 463,000 visitors per year.
The Grade I listed house was built in the Neo-Renaissance style of a French château between 1874 and 1889 for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild as a weekend residence for entertaining and to house his collection of arts and antiquities.
