Our speciality is the great wines of Bordeaux, of which we are one of the world’s largest stockholders and leading en primeur merchants. We also offer an in depth range of wines from other French regions including Burgundy, the Rhône and Loire valleys, Champagne and Alsace. The greatest wines from around the world also feature on our site with the pick of the bunch from Italy, Spain, California, Australia and New Zealand as well as vintage Ports and Madeiras. We also stock a selection of the very best spirits and are active traders in cask whisky.

Our sales and buying teams have more than a century of experience between them: collectively we have tasted most of the thousands of wines that we stock. We offer genuine and impartial advice and recommendations on wines and spirits for investment, for future drinking, or for drinking now.

The vast majority of our private clients are collectors and we are particularly well-qualified to give advice on building a wine collection for both future drinking and investment.  We have been trading fine wines for more than 40 years and deal daily in the global fine wine and spirits markets.  Aside from what is probably the widest range of physically available stock in the UK, we store thousands of cases of wine on behalf of our customers at our bonded warehouse in Melksham.  This state-of-the-art, modern facility has been created exclusively for Farr Vintners by London City Bond, with temperature and humidity levels computer-controlled at a constant 13 degrees celsius and 70% respectively.  Your collection is fully insured at full replacement value.

We are equally qualified to advise on wines for delivery to your door, be it a case of Latour or Krug for a special occasion or a case of Pouilly Fuissé for weekday drinking.
