At No. 5 Pollen Street, Little Social is, as its name suggest, smaller than the London original. It’s not, however Pollen Street Social in miniature.
Quite literally across the street from flagship restaurant Pollen Street Social, Jason Atherton has created a heady mix of classic design, with ox-blood banquettes and intimate dining booths, traditional hardwood chairs, and velvet curtains. Vintage picture frames and old Michelin maps adorn the walls, offset by eclectic neon.
The menu is contemporary-meets-classical French. With a nod towards some typically French plates, Little Social brings the best of British produce to the table to create dishes such as Bouillabaisse of Cornish red mullet, code, scallop, mussels & cockles; Braised Irish ox cheeks, roast marrow bone, sourdough crumb, carrot, horseradish mash; and apple tarte tatin for two, made with caramel baked Pink Lady apples and rich butter puff pastry.
Awarded three AA Rosettes, Little Social is an intimate London restaurant with the atmosphere of a Parisian café. Little Social has also been named one of the UK’s top 100 restaurants in the National Restaurant Awards, rated 6/10 by the Good Food Guide, and selected for Opentable Diner’s Choice Award.
