A Touch of Magic

July 23rd 2015

  • I don’t want to spoil the magic too much before your visit but I’ve captured a snapshot of what to expect during your time at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter along with some images from the Limelight Access’ team day out!

Arriving in style with Limelight Driven we entered the magical world of all things Harry Potter…

Before we entered the set we were welcomed with knowledgeable and friendly members of staff ready to tell us anything we wanted to know about the tour we were about to embark on.

(As a Limelight member you’ll be able to queue jump through a VIP entrance)

Entering through The Great Hall you learn about all the iconic room at Hogwarts.. as we visited during their Sweets and Treats Feature there was food ready for a banquet on one of the long tables.

Walking round the tour at our own pace we saw Gryffindor Boys’ dormitory, Dumbledore’s office and the potion room to name a few along with the perfect kids area (big kids included) where you can learn how to cast a spell with a Hogwarts own instructor and a green screen where you can enjoy a broomstick ride and sit in the simulator ‘flying car’.

The next part of the tour was the famous Hogwarts Express; where you can walk amongst the carriages with each displaying scenes from the different films and visit the Rail Shop with a small selection of Harry Potter gifts available. Here you can also take pictures at Platform 9 ¾

A quick Butterbeer stop was on the menu next with the tour’s very own café to enjoy your own picnic or purchases food and drinks from the counters. There’s some seating outside where you can sit amongst iconic set pieces including the Knight Bus, Sirius Black’s motorbike and chess pieces from The Philosophers Stone.

Next stop was make-up; learning all about the prosthetics and the creation of each of the creatures before moving through to Diagon Alley and the grand finale of Hogwarts Castle.

The tour is complete with a gift store filled with sweets including Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, Fizzing Whizzbees and lots of clothes & accessories to complete your Harry Potter adventure.

After all the excitement, why not wind down at our hotel partner The Grove where you can relax for the evening and enjoy Limelight Member’s benefits.

Limelight Hint: don’t forget as a Limelight member you receive a special rate on all Limelight Driven bookings; the perfect addition to complete your magical day!
