Jason Atherton’s flagship restaurant offering de formalised fine dining in a contemporary environment. Pollen Street Social opened in April 2011 in Mayfair and was awarded a Michelin star within just six months of opening.
The restaurant has been awarded 5 AA Rosettes and is currently the highest ranked London restaurant in the Good Food Guide at number 3. The restaurant is modern and smart – leather seats, neutral walls, contemporary artwork – and it includes a private dining room in the basement as well as one of London’s only dessert bars.
Jason Atherton has long been a champion of British produce and nurtures long-term relationships with suppliers from across Britain to get the best ingredients, from Colchester crab to Buccleuch beef. This is reflected in the menus, and the a la carte, set lunch and tasting menus all change with the seasons. In the Social Bar, home to a 60-strong list of gins, cocktails are created using foraged herbs, spices, fruits and vegetables at the height of their season, as well as modern takes on classic drinks.
