After two decades serving sumptuous food at the famous Buzio Restaurant near Alvor, Gilberto Gato has found a new home for his skills and passion at Hexagone. In keeping with his food philosophy of creating tasty, delicious dishes where the natural ingredients are the stars, Gilberto offers a modern Mediterranean cuisine with a creative twist of local Portuguese flavors to tempt your taste buds.
Hexagone Restaurant is a spacious, bright and welcoming restaurant located on the outskirts of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo. The dining room is cozy in the winter thanks to the wood burning fireplace and cool in the summer with high ceilings and large panoramic windows. The summer patio and terrace are perfect for leisurely lunches or al fresco dinners, while the spacious bar is ideal for a before or after dinner drink or cocktail. From the dining room most eyes are drawn towards the open kitchen, where you can watch the chefs in action, working their magic on fresh ingredients to produce flavoursome dishes that are as easy on the eye as the palate.
Open for both lunch and dinner, Hexagone Restaurant is already famous for the fantastic salads that feature on the lunch menu. The a la carte dinner menu offers fish and meat options including one of the Chef’s most popular dishes – the Rack of Lamb – and there is an excellent Chef’s tasting menu available.
The cuisine at Hexagone is creative and authentic and many of the dishes are unique to Hexagone, using fresh and seasonal produce and complimented by an extensive wine list consisting of mainly Portuguese wines with Hexagone’s sommelier on hand to advise and help you choose the best wine to compliment the dishes
