Sister restaurant to the acclaimed New York outpost, Bar Boulud bistro and wine bar opened in 2010 in Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, Knightsbridge, London, under the direction of Michelin starred chef Daniel Boulud.

The interior, designed by Adam Tihany, is inspired by the French winemaking culture. Elements such as oak, cork, red leather, and chandeliers representing deconstructed wine barrels, give the restaurant a rustic, yet refined and contemporary atmosphere.

The restaurant is split in four connected dining rooms featuring a zinc topped wine bar and lounge in the first room. The second dining room features an open plan kitchen and charcuterie counter, where diners can watch the chefs at work as well as two private dining rooms seating up to 40.

The menu at Bar Boulud includes traditional French bistro dishes alongside American classics, including its renowned home-made charcuterie and burgers. 

In addition to Bar Boulud’s signature dishes, Executive chef Thomas Piat has designed an ever-evolving seasonal menu, taking diners on a journey through the regional cuisines of France, from Alsace to the Rhône valley, through Provence and the Loire valley. 

With over thirty refences available by the glass, the cellar is predominantly dedicated to the great wines of Burgundy and the Rhône valley; Daniel Boulud’s favourite winemaking regions surrounding his native city of Lyon. The wine list has also been adapted with a dedicated page to compliment the new regional menus.
